It has an external steel frame for distributing your load. The dimensions are 16" HIGH X 16" WIDE X 7" Deep (about 10 gallon capacity). The leather straps may need conditioning. This is genuine military surplus and is therefore a little dirty. Each item has unique characteristics and smells.
