#0591 "Porsche 904 GTS" 908 despite not being classified asThe racing version of the versatile and remarkably robust 904, or Carrera GTS, designed by "Butzi" Porsche, was released by the factory in late 1963 for competition in the FIA GT class the following season with the road going version following in parallel to comply with homologation regulations. It had a frame chassis, a Heinkel fiberglass body, and was equipped with a 2 liter four cylinder mid mounted engine and five speed gearbox. The GTS
