Krya Vayots Dzor Poqr 2022 CRV the Cote des Blancs communeTatevik Gabrielyan grew up in Vernashen, left Armenia at eighteen to study winemaking in Switzerland, met her partner Jean Paul Berger there, and came home to make wine on her grandfather's abandoned vineyards. The winery is an old cheese factory built on 70 year old vines, and it's named Krya, Armenian for turtle: wisdom, patience, longevity. Poqr means "small," and it's a red field blend of Areni alongside grapes most of us have never heard of,
